This week was a “Substack First” for me… I hosted the 10-Day Aligned Visibility Sprint. It was 10 full days of challenge prompts and feedback where a group of Substackers got “on the court” to play the connection and growth game.

Keep reading if you want to know more about how to find aligned collaboration partners on Substack.

If you’ve been here on Substack for a minute, you know that growth happens more with movement: showing up, making comments, meeting the people in your neighborhood.

This is how it works everywhere, online and off.

It works like this: Energy OUT, energy comes BACK.

There’s never been a social media or really anywhere on the internet where you can show up and just publish your work and leave. Something has to drive people to that.

That’s why ads exist. And DMs, and comments, and the “like” button. It’s just how it works.

Even back in the day, newspapers.

Think about the boy on the corner yelling “Extra Extra, read all about it!” That was the olden-days version of “social” media or advertising. Someone had to get it out there!

I understand this with 10 years under my belt online. That’s why I hosted this sprint.

The truth is, you could publish until you’re blue in the face — if no one knows your work is there, it’s not going to be seen.

The answer in my book: Connections with people. Collaborations with writers who have aligned subscribers and getting in front of multiple audiences.

That’s what this mini workshop is about.

If you’ve ever felt cringe, or felt utterly frozen around what to do next when you want to connect and meet people and start making things happen more effortlessly, this mini-workshop is for you.
